…Opening Night

Last night we had the pleasure of seeing BOXI’s work up close at the Carmicharl Gallery.  He has taken the art of the stencil to the next level.

At first glance you feel as if you are looking a photograph but as you analize each peice a bit further you start to see the emence detail and layers of paint that inturn produce this wonderful image.

Seth Carmichael, owner of the gallery told me that each piece has on average 8-9 stencils.  Each one of those stencils has hand-cut by BOXI.  When you are able to view his work, you will see that that is no small feet.

His work is amazing.  I’m hoping to interview BOXI for the site in the near future.  Stay tuned….  But for now, enjoy the rest of the pics from last nights showing.
