…DUMPSTERETTE
Just came across this wonderful design on Flicker. It has been designed for trash and recycling but my first thought is that it would be great for a kids toy storage bin.

It seems there’s no end to Stella McCartney’s creativity. An animal lover, Stella has often used the silhouette of a horse in her textiles and fashion design. Now she’s reprised Lucky Spot, a gorgeous crystal “chandelier” installation at Belsay Castle in the UK. Lucky Spot was originally created by the fashion designer back in 2004 for a special exhibit at the castle, and has returned (her/him) there in a special engagement for the Easter Holidays.
We came across this awhile back and absolutely forgot to pass it on. So, after seeing them again, I wanted to share them with everyone who might not have seen them yet.
This is a series of packagings shifted and directly inspired by the appearance of certain fruits like the skin of banana, kiwi or the strawberry. A superb idea installation by the Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. More images in the continuation.
